A evo i kako smo zvučali:
translation to English:
I have always adored classical music, because it represents a form of perfection that exists and it's cared for centuries. Through educating in music school, studying History of Music and discovering new composers and pieces, bigger love for classic vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental music was born.
Listening to classical music gives you a wonderful feeling. But when you perform it yourself, it gives you a kind of a feeling that can't be compared to anything else. You put your personality, feelings and emotions into the piece that you're performing and that is how you create true music and emphasize the whole beauty in it.
That is why I am extremely honored to be singing in a choir of music school "Isidor Bajić". Every concert that we had performed up till now was animated with magnificence. The moment we begin to sing, hundreds of our souls merges into one, in a harmony. For that, we are mostly grateful to our conductor - professor Tamara Adamov Petijević who, with her great will and huge amount of invested effort, manages every time to transform us from students who scrabble notes and practice instruments to serious performance who carry a dose of professionalism with themselves.
Last night in Synagogue, we had a phenomenal performance along with our orchestra, which is also outstanding. The theme of the concert was "Significant anniversaries", and, alongside, anniversary of the founding of our school. Pieces of Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Verdi, Konjović and Mozart could be found on the repertoire.
The biggest impression on me was left by vocal-instrumental performance of two movements from Mozart's Requiem - Lacrimosa and Hostias. It is truly something to remember. It left such an impression to me that, at the end of the concert, emotions have overcome me. If you would ask me, I would repeat yesterday's event for at least one more time, just to feel that beauty, harmony and energy that have been present all the time there..
And this is how we sounded:
I am listening to this video for the third time and I'm still under a huge impression. I am impatiently waiting for the next school year, when professor Tamara will hand us some new scores of new pieces that hopefully we will perform at our next concert! For something like this, it's really worth to be doing this and I don't regret a single bit for choosing this calling.
